The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, visited San Pedro de Macorís this Friday, where he held a meeting with sports leaders and sports reporters.
Cruz, first of all, met with the sports reporters and leaders, who expressed to him the sports problems that the municipality has.
Then he went with Governor Yovanis Baltazar, Senator Aracelis Villanueva and Mayor Rafa Ortíz to the Sports Complex facilities, where he stated that he is very sorry for the sports debt in which that sports field is located.
“A province like San Pedro de Macorís deserves to be given more dignity, to be given more attention,” he expressed.
He said that the investment that will be made will not be a piece of cake, “this deserves a deep intervention, this deserves a budget that is beyond the capacity of the Ministry of Sports,” he stated.
He urged local authorities to prepare the project to take it to President Luís Abinader.
