The International Exhibition of all breeds of dogsin its spring edition, began this Saturday in Havana with Cuban breeders, the United States and Mexico, as announced by the Board of Directors of the Cynological Federation of Cuba (FCC).
More than 200 specimens of 30 breeds have been registered in the event, which runs until tomorrow Sunday at its Havana headquarters at the Cultural Station on Linea and 18, in El Vedado.
In exclusive to the Cuban News Agency (ACN), the organizers clarified that the number may increase, since breeders generally make subscriptions at the last minute for transportation reasons.
The tournament will grant points for the Cuban, Central American and Caribbean, Latin American, Pan American and International championships in the Youth, Adult and Veteran categories, they specified.
The invited judges are Julio Rueda (Uruguay) and Norma Paula Rodríguez Argüelles (Cuba), who chairs the FCC and also the Cuban Federation of Canine Sports, sponsored by the Recreation Department of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation.
The most recent meeting of this type was held in February. It was the International Dog Show in Havana, in its winter edition, at the Cultural Station of Línea y 18, the old El Carmelo Tram Station.
The Cynological Federation of Cuba emerged in 1987, it is a member of the International Cynological Federation and brings together the national associations of Cocker Spaniel Breeders and the Afghan Hound Breeders.
In addition, to the Boxer, Bichon Havanese, Collies, Great Dane, German Shepherd, Dalmata, Doberman, Chihuahua and Teckel clubs.
