The special team led by prosecutor Marita Barreto requested 36 months of preventive detention against the members of the so-called ‘Shadow Cabinet’, accused of distributing public works from the Ministry of Housing with the consent of President Pedro Castillo.
The provincial prosecutor Kelinda Janampa filed with the Judiciary the request for the formalization of a preparatory investigation against more than 20 investigated.
Together with this request, the request for restrictive measures against eight of the 20 investigated was included.
In the case of the fugitive owner of the Sarratea house, Segundo Alejandro Sánchez, as well as Salatiel Marrufo, Biberto Castillo and Jeiner Cabrera, the Public Ministry has requested 36 months of preventive detention.
Meanwhile, against Pedro Castillo’s undersecretary general, Beder Camacho, a restricted appearance has been requested. This also reaches former advisors to the president Henry Shimabukuro, Eder Viton and Auner Vásquez.
Second Sanchez fugitive
It should be recalled that on October 11, preliminary detention was ordered for ten days against six investigated for this same case, of which only five were located and made available to the authorities.
To date, Segundo Alejandro Sánchez remains in hiding, from where he has stated on social networks that he will not turn himself in to justice.
