SANTO DOMINGO.– The Special Commission of the National Social Security Council (CNSS) met this Wednesday with various actors in the health sector with the aim of continuing to address the differences between the Dominican Medical Association and the Health Risk Managers (ARS).
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Labor and President of the CNSS, Luis Miguel De Camps; the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Rivera, who have advocated for dialogue and consensus with the aim of reaching solutions that benefit the population affiliated with the Dominican Social Security System (SDSS).
The meeting was attended by the Vice Minister of Labor in Social Security and Occupational Risks, substitute for the president of the CNSS, Juan Estévez, the Vice Minister of Public Health José Antonio Matos and the general manager of the CNSS, Edward Guzmán.
Members of the CNSS representing the Employer Sector, Labor Sector, Nursing Associations, other professionals and technicians. The Health Risk Administrators (ARS), the Health Service Providers (PDSS), the Dominican Association of Private Clinics (ANDECLIP) and the Superintendence of Health and Occupational Risks (SISALRIL).
Also the Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA), the Dominican Institute for Prevention and Protection of Occupational Risks (IDOPPRIL), the Social Security Treasury, the Association of Clinical Laboratories (ANDELAB). National Association of Independent Diagnostic Centers (ANACEDI), among others.
Before starting to address the topics proposed for said meeting, the representatives of the Dominican Medical Association withdrew from the meeting. The meeting continued with the health sector stakeholders who attended.
The commission has been convened for this Thursday, January 5 at the CNSS headquarters, where they will continue to present possible solutions to the conflict in the CMD and the ARS. Without affecting the right to health of members.
It is recalled that the commission was created through CNSS resolution 557-01, which has the objective of seeking a solution by evaluating and analyzing said differences between the sectors that affect the System
