Requirements to enter Spain

All persons with a vaccination or recovery certificate or a negative diagnosis who meet the following characteristics required by the Ministry of Health may enter Spain:

Vaccination certificate: Issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin or the country of application of the vaccine, certifying that a complete vaccination schedule against COVID-19 of the vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency or the World Health Organization has been received. health. Certificates with vaccines not authorized by these organisms are also accepted, but the last dose administered must be one of the authorized vaccines.

Vaccination certificates issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin from 14 days after the date of administration of the last dose of the complete vaccine schedule will be accepted as valid.

The certificate will not be considered valid if more than 270 days have elapsed since the date of administration of the last dose. In these cases, the vaccination certificate must reflect the administration of a booster dose.

Diagnostic certificate: You must indicate the result of a Diagnostic Test for Active COVID-19 Infection. Those with a negative result, whose sample collection has been obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain, will be valid.

Recovery Certification: You must confirm that the holder has recovered from COVID-19. Those issued by the competent authority or by a medical service at least 11 days after the first diagnostic test or antigen detection test with a positive result will be accepted as valid. The validity of the certificate will end 180 days from the date of the first positive result of the diagnostic test.

People who have a European Union Digital COVID Certificate or equivalent will not be required to provide any additional documentation, neither on boarding nor during health checks upon arrival.
