Brazilian Luisa Stefani and Hungarian Timea Babos began the São Paulo Open pair key with a 2 sets at 0 (6/4 and 6/4 partials) about British Alicia Barnett and French Elixane Lechemia, on Wednesday (10), and advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition.
In the next stage of the competition the pair of the Brazilian measures forces with Argentina Solana Sierra and Mexican Renata Zarazua next Thursday (11).
“It was a game of ups and downs. At times we didn’t play our best tennis. I think the nervousness of playing at home weighed a little. Timea felt it in the beginning, I felt more at the end. But overall, I’m happy with victory, happy with the debut, with the chance to feel the energy and warmth of the public. It is very important for me to be here,” said Luisa.
Fall of Naná Silva
In the simple, Nauhany Silva, only 15 years old, said goodbye to the competition after being defeated by Argentina Solana Sierra by 2 sets to 0 (partial 6/0 and 6/4) in the round of 16.
Solana Sierra defeats Nauhany Silva by 6/0 and 6/4 and qualifies for the quarterfinals of SP Open, facing the British Francesca Jones.

“I entered more nervous in the first set, I ended up being so aggressive and, when I tried to be more aggressive, I made a lot of mistakes. Besides, my first withdrawal did not enter as much as in other games, I think this was my biggest problem today,” said Naná.
