The southern command of the United States reported Thursday about the execution of joint maneuvers with real fire in the Caribbean waters, between the forces of the Navy and the Marines Corps.
This occurs after the complaint made by Venezuela about the detection of combat aircraft about 75 kilometers from its coasts within the Maiquetía flight information region.
Through his account on social network X, the South Command explained that these maneuvers involved “a real fire exercise with naval weapons systems in the Caribbean Sea.”
“The US military forces are deployed in the Caribbean in support of the Southern Command Mission,” he added and said that these operations are led by the War Department and aligned with the priorities of President Donald Trump, the fourth fleet and the sailor body assigned to the area.
The message was accompanied by a video with images of the operational deployment on land and sea. In addition, the recent statements of the US Department of War Department, Peter Heghseth are replicated, asserting “that you do not doubt you, what they are doing now is not training, it is an exercise in the real world.”
On the eve, the Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, denounced military harassment of the US government over the Venezuelan people, after at least five US-35 American warplanes fly near the Venezuelan coasts.
For their part, the ministries for defense and foreign relations rejected the illegal forage of combat aircraft At approximately 75 kilometers from the country’s coast, stating that it constitutes a provocation that threatens national sovereignty and contravenes the norms of international law and the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation.
