Republican senator John Kennedy, from Louisiana, accused a federal judge of Boston to “exceed her authority” by blocking the revocation of probation of more than 500,000 undocumented immigrants.
Federal Judge Indira Talwani imposed a national court order that prohibits the Trump administration from deporting migrants who entered the country during the Biden administration under the Parole program.
Kennedy said that Talwani “does not know the law” and criticized it for implementing a national court order.
“The judge is wrong. Obviously, neither the law book nor the catalog of J.Crew. I think she issued a national court order. In my opinion, it is illegal,” Kennedy told the co -presenter of “America Reports”, Sandra Smith, and the guest co -challenger, Bill Melugin.
“There is no basis for the statutory law for that. There is no basis on the precedents of the Supreme Court for that. There is no basis for English customary law for that, on which our justice system is based. The Supreme Court could fix it, and I hope you do it soon,” Kennedy continued.

The Trump government announced in March the completion of the program, which allowed Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans to obtain probation and enter the country.
Before talking about Talwani’s court order, Kennedy also defended President Trump’s decision to deport illegal immigrants to El Salvador.
Trump issued several executive orders by assuming the position on January 20 on the immigration theme, including the designation of Mexican drug cartels, the Venezuelan gang Train of Aragua (TDA) and Salvadoran MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations.
“I think the president is right. If you are in our country illegally, you are a criminal. Illegal immigration is illegal, of course. And I think there are many laws that President Biden ignored to allow us to deport you,” Kennedy said.
For me, it is obvious, and those who oppose that approach, it seems to me, are not intellectually honest and should admit that they support the opening of borders.
