Various South Korean social movements organized a mobilization to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, kidnapped by US forces on January 3.
This demonstration took place in the streets of Seoul, specifically in front of the United States Embassy, on which occasion the protesters used banners with the slogan “Free Maduro” and chanted phrases such as “They will not pass”, in a clear demand for their release and rejection of foreign intervention.
This action was part of a series of international protests that have been replicated in various cities around the world demanding respect for international law, the sovereignty of nations and the release of the presidential couple.
The meeting was held with the slogan “Venezuela is not a threat, it is a hope” and in defense of the self-determination of the Venezuelan people.
They also denounced what they describe as a kidnapping that violates the sovereign will of Venezuela; in conjunction with a new voice of global pressure from the Asian continent for respect for the integrity of the Venezuelan president.
Legal specialists have accused the illegality of the gringo action.
