South Korea is left without a president: Parliament dismissed Yoon Suk-yeol

The South Korean Parliament today approved the dismissal of the president, Yoon Suk-yeol, for having declared martial law on December 3 and did so with the support of deputies from the president’s own party. The 300 deputies of the National Assembly (Parliament ) participated in the process, with a result of 204 votes in favor of the motion presented by the opposition to dismiss Yoon, 85 against, three abstentions and eight invalid ballots.
