The Alteños gave up two points in the final stretch of the match, but they still have their chances intact to reach the round of 16 of Sudamericana. Always Ready was more than César Vallejo, but the Peruvian was much more effective. With less, he did more damage.

With this result, Always Ready remains the leader of Group A of the Copa Sudamericana with 11 points, closely followed by Independiente Medellín with 10 points. Defensa y Justicia occupies third place with 5 points, while César Vallejo is in last position with 1 point.

The definition of the group and direct classification to the round of 16 will be resolved andn the next meeting between Always Ready and the DIM, where the winner will ensure their place as first in the group, while the second must compete in a playoff with a third party from the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.
