The data, published by the Ministry of EconomyPlanning and Development (Mepyd) point to an expansion of 2.4 percentage points above Europe, whose air arrivals They represented 15.4% of the 10,005,800 visitors who were in the country in the last 11 months.
In this way, the air arrivals of tourists from the Old Continent –a market that traditionally sends tourists to the Dominican Republic–was in third place, due to the international trend of fewer trips after a prolonged economic crisis due to the effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
