A few days ago, Paulo Sousa resigned as Poland coach and, today, December 29, Flamengo has just announced the arrival of the Portuguese coach. Fla put an end to the search for a new coach just one month after the dismissal of Renato Gaúcho.
The Brazilian team went first for Jorge Jesús, that yesterday Tuesday the dismissal of the coach was announced by Benfica, but the Portuguese will not coach Flamengo. Finally, Paulo Sousa will coach Fla for the next two seasons until 2023.
Sousa, for his part, paid a clause of 300,000 euros approximately to be able to leave the selection of Poland and to arrive at the bench of the Flamengo. The coach leaves his position as coach with three months remaining until the tie against Russia (if they win, they would play against Sweden or the Czech Republic) for a ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
