The deputy to the National Assembly (AN) for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV)Luis Fernando Soto Rojas, stressed this Tuesday that the civic-military rebellion of 1958, generated that in Venezuela a military coup was no longer imposed on the country.
During his participation in the ordinary session of the AN, Soto Rojas pointed out that, currently, the bourgeois liberal system is also being observed, which seeks to silence the voices of the people of the region.
«The military regime was exhausted. No military coup has been possible in 65 years. Then the bourgeois capital model was installed, and what we are seeing today in the region is an exhaustion of the bourgeois liberal system, which does not give the people a way out,” he said after presenting the project to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the civic rebellion. military of the January 23, 1958.
In this sense, he stressed the role that the people of Venezuela have played in generating change in the region, just as it happened 65 years ago.
“There is a geopolitical change in the region and the role of the Venezuelan people, the role of the Bolivarian Revolution, and the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, is playing a fundamental role,” he said.
For this reason, he urged to rise up and continue the popular and democratic path, in order to face imperialism and the blockade.
For his part, the deputy to the AN for Acción Democrática (AD), Luis Eduardo Martínez, urged the raising of the flags of January 23, and thus demand the cessation of the pressures and sanctions promoted by the United States (USA). ).
“May the spirit of January 23 serve us to forcefully demand that foreign pressures cease, that it is possible for Venezuela to be prosperous,” Martínez stressed, while pointing out that only with reconciliation and peace will it be possible to consolidate the country development.
Subsequently, the parliamentarians of the chamber approved the commemoration project.
