The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Martín Soria, reiterated this Saturday that there is “a contractual relationship” between judge María Eugenia Capuchetti and the Buenos Aires government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, and maintained that the magistrate “should take a long leave until she is clear up these embarrassments”.
“Yesterday this contractual relationship between Capuchetti and the Ministry of City Security. It seems to me that these people should take the example of (Marcelo) D’Alessandro and take a long leave so that at least these embarrassments are clarified,” the minister said in statements to AM750 radio.
Soria recalled that the judge has three unpublished cases in the country’s history: “the Macrista court table, the attempted assassination of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the mega-indebtedness of (former President Mauricio) Macri with the IMF.”
“There are three cases in which there is practically no progress or clarification,” the official remarked.
Judge Capuchetti heads federal court number 5, and as reported this week, the judge is “Senior Advisor” at the Superior Institute of Public Security of CABA, which depends on the Ministry of Security and Justice and is in charge of Marcelo D’Alessandro .
D’Alessandro is currently using a license after the dissemination of some chats attributed to him with Silvio Robles -spokesman for the president of the Supreme Court, Horacio Rosatti- and the businessman Marcelo Violante, who was in charge of the service concession haulage in the City of Buenos Aires.
Based on the content of those conversations that transcended in various media, The Government filed a criminal complaint against D’Alessadro on Friday for “breach of duties as a public official, bribery and embezzlement.”
“A senior investigator under the orbit of the CABA Ministry of Justice and Security led by D’Alessandro, this demonstrates the dark political and economic links between (the courts of) Comodoro Py and Together for Change (JxC),” Soria said. .
About the Magistracy
The Minister of Justice and Human Rights said that he would “love” for a political trial to be carried out against federal judge María Eugenia Capuchetti, about whom yesterday he revealed that “she has been hired” since 2019 by the Government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, but warned that ” it cannot be” because “Horacio Rosatti and the Supreme Court of Justice paralyzed” the body where “the misconduct of the magistrates is investigated”, which “is the Judicial Council”.
“There are ethical and moral issues in justice, which have been lost for a long time, which forces a magistrate who was exposed to excuse himself, minimally,” the minister said in statements to the “Give and Take” program that is broadcast on AM750 radio.
Along these lines, he pointed out that “it is what someone who has his impartiality compromised has to do.”
Asked about a possible political trial of the magistrate, he stated: “I would love to, but it cannot be done because Horacio Rosatti and the Supreme Court have paralyzed the body that the Constitution provides to be where the misconduct of magistrates, judicial officials, which is the Judicial Council”.
Along these lines, the minister stated that the judge’s ties with the Buenos Aires head of government and his security minister are reflected in Rosatti.
“Rosatti keeps a thunderous and shameful silence in front of the ties of his right hand (Silvio Robles) advising and maintaining relations with the opposition,” he said.
In the chats that were leaked, exchanges between D’Alessandro and Robles were exhibited, who suggested strategies to the Buenos Aires Government to obtain a favorable ruling from the Court in the conflict of co-participating funds that the City of Buenos Aires maintains with the Nation, something that it finally happened.
“Justice swept away federalism in Argentina and favored Larreta to finance his campaign for president.”
For his part, D’Alessandro indicated on social networks on Friday that the complaint about Capuchetti is “absurd” and argued that the judge “does not advise” but rather “teaches” at the Higher Institute of Public Security.
In response to this argument put forward by the Buenos Aires official, Soria replied to “hand over your cell phone” to determine the authenticity of the leaked messages.
