The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic Soraya Thronicke said, today (16), that, among the federal taxes, she will only maintain those that are levied on imports, exports and income tax. The latter, however, will not be charged to teachers and workers earning up to five minimum wages.
The promise was made during the event organized by the Engineers Union in the State of São Paulo.
The candidate for União Brasil defended the use of Brazil Communication Company (EBC) – in the case the TV Brazil – as an education tool. She said that the use of the public vehicle could have helped to alleviate the problems caused by the pandemic for Brazilian students, especially those who do not have access to the internet, to attend distance classes.
“As an example of what was done [com os veículos de mídia pública] in other countries, such as Portugal, the EBC could have been used to teach Brazilians”, defended Soraya.
Regarding the plans for the economic area, Soraya reiterated that, of the federal taxes, she will only maintain those that are levied on imports, exports and income tax, which, according to her, “will no longer be charged from teachers and people who receive up to five minimum wages.
Addressing the engineers present at the event, he said he was in favor of a bidding law similar to that applied in other countries, which include, in the public notice, an insurance that guarantees the delivery of the work in the contracted time.
