A 32-year-old man killed his 95-year-old father during an argument, according to versions obtained from security agencies.
The fatal victim is identified as Juan Bautista Mogollón (95), who was allegedly stabbed by his son Juan Carlos Mogollón Blanco (32).
This event occurred last Friday night in the house that father and son shared, located in La Vaquera, Yaritagua, Yaracuy state.
In the middle of an argument, Juan Carlos stuck a knife into his father twice. Juan Bautista was taken to a health center in Yaritagua and then transferred to the central hospital in Barquisimeto (Lara) where he died on Sunday, April 3, the source said. The suspected killer is on the run.
In another incident, the Cicpc arrested José Leonardo Camacho Terán (33) accused of hitting his mother with a sledgehammer. This attack occurred in the La Milagrosa sector, Mérida.
The man presented problems of coexistence and frequently argued with his mother. In the last verbal fight, the man took the sledgehammer and hit his mother, causing considerable injuries, says the Cicpc report.
