A fire in the northern part of the Buenos Aires seaside resort Villa Gesell, of which the causes are still unknown and no injuries were reported, began at 9 in the morning this Wednesday near Route 11 and is being controlled by more than 70 people from Fire and Emergency detachments from different cities of the Coast that work in the place, informed Télam from the Villa Gesell Fire Department and the Ministry of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires.
“At the moment we do not have to regret any victims or loss of property, the fire is removed from the housing sector and is located behind the Pueblo Límite complex, in a forest area where there are cortadera and acacias.“, the auxiliary officer, Adrián Miceli, from the Fire Department of the seaside resort of Villa Gesell, told Télam.
“The fire is under control and they are doing the refrigeration task, it is encapsulated and doing the edge work, to prevent its spread,” he added.

In this regard, Miceli explained that “the central headquarters of Villa Gesell, detachments from Mar Azul, Pinamar, Madariaga, Santa Clara del Mar, Police Firefighters, Mar de Ajó and Costa del Este are working, a total of approximately 70 people in the place with a fire hydrant and helicopters to drop water”.
The fire is “quite wide, large and is located in front of the Coto hypermarket, on Route 11 in the Gesell part towards the beach, but we cannot specify the dimensions or number of hectares, nor what event caused it yet,” Miceli concluded. .
