More than 40,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been applied through the “Vacunate in your Neighborhood” inoculation day, in which nursing staff go from house to house, parks and transport terminals to apply the vaccines . These applications correspond to first doses.
According to Eusebia Calderón de Copete, National Head of Nursing at the Ministry of Health, these 40,000 vaccines have been applied in the 32 days that this strategy has been implemented.
He stressed that, from the early hours of this Tuesday, May 10, hundreds of people went to the vaccination point located in the Albrook Transport Terminal, with the purpose of applying the dose of Covid-19.
“We seek to reach all those people who for some reason do not have access to a health center, polyclinic, such is the case in communities in Darién, Guna Yala region, Ngäbe Buglé and Bocas del Toro,” said Copete.
He indicated that in the capital district they continue to place the doses against Covid-19 and influenza in the paid areas, the Gran Estación de San Miguelito and Terminal de Albrook.
He added that in order for more people to complete their vaccination schedule, they will resume the application of vaccines in sectors such as Calidonia, Santa Ana, El Chorrillo and Curundú.
