MIAMI, United States.- The Cuban migration crisis continues throughout the region and it is not yet clear how it will end and when. According to a report by the Mexican media Plinththe migrants managed to circumvent the security established on the Mexican side, and reached the banks of the Rio Grande camouflaged among local residents “who come to enjoy the fresh waters of the river to mitigate the high temperatures.”

According to the Mexican authorities, the Cubans who managed to reach US soil celebrated hugging each other and raising their hands to the sky.

Just two weeks ago, another group of some 14 Cuban migrants, including a family with a three-year-old boy, was rescued by Mexican and US authorities when they were about to be swept away by the current.
During the month of March alone, more than 32,000 Cuban migrants entered through the southern border of the United States, a migratory exodus that could only be compared to the Mariel of 1980.
