The president of the Panamanian Taekwondo Federation, Boris Álvarez, reported that some 300 athletes from 33 academies across the country will be participating in the 2024 National Championship, which will be held in the Combat and Poomse modalities, on July 20 and 21, at the La Basita gym in David.
The competition will be held in the categories of Children, Cadets, Youth and Adults and will also serve to select the young athletes who will represent Panama at the Codicader Games, which will be held in El Salvador in October.
In addition, during this championship, the Korean Embassy will deliver uniforms to the various member academies participating in the event.
“We are very proud of this event. It has been a great effort by everyone to make it a reality, so we hope to have the presence of our sports authorities,” said Alvarez.
He also highlighted that after the competitions, the national champions of the different weights and categories will be awarded.
