The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) increased its force in the various ports nationwide, as a preventive measure due to Holy Week, in order to safeguard passengers who use the sea route to move.

Preliminary figures indicate that during this Operation, until 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022, 27 thousand 561 passengers have been mobilized by sea in 2 thousand 822 trips, without incidents to regret.

The AMP also reported that a vessel was detected in Bocas Isla, Bocas del Toro province, which did not have current documentation.

The AMP Operation consists of verifying that the internal service vessels are in good condition and comply with the regulatory security measures, with all their security equipment on board, in addition to having a trained crew and having your documents in order.
