Suppliers of goods and services are obliged to issue an invoice or proof of purchase, clearly stating the Unique Taxpayer Registry (RUC), the identification of the goods and services, the price and the date of delivery, indicates the Protection Authority the Consumer and Defense of Competition (Acodeco).
During ex officio verifications and in response to complaints, when verifying the non-delivery of said documents, Acodeco officials draw up a record detailing the lack found in article 36 numeral 12 of Law 45 of 2007, modified by Law 34 of 2016 , which establishes the obligation of the provider to issue an invoice.
According to records from the Verification Department, from January 2022 to April 2023, 19 reports have been issued for this type of anomaly. Among the latest inspections, minutes have been drawn up with this irregularity, to the beauty salon “Donde La Parce”, located in Plaza Córdoba and San Francisco.
It should be noted that the non-delivery of the tax invoice is a matter that is the responsibility of the General Directorate of Revenue to verify.
