Some 140 people apprehended and more than a thousand infractions placed in the isthmus operation

In the last 24 hours, the security forces apprehended 140 people through Operation Isthmus throughout the country.

Of these apprehensions, 71 are for trades, 13 for flagrante delicto, 50 for administrative offenses, 5 micro-trafficking and 1 for drug trafficking.

Two raids were carried out, 8 drug packages were seized, 4 firearms, 28 ammunition, plus 2 vehicles and a recovered boat.

While 7 foreigners were detected due to overdue stay, alert impediment, immigration controls and 3 emergency evacuations were registered.

The units of the National Directorate of Transit Operations placed 1,347 infractions, 34 for proven drunkenness, 392 speeding, 10 talking on a cell phone, 14 alcoholic breath, 39 inappropriate lights and 40 expired licenses.

With Operation Isthmus, security strategies are strengthened throughout the country.
