The Minister of Labor and Labor Development, Doris Zapata, indicated that they are advancing in talks with business and worker unions for the implementation of the plan announced by the Government.
Minister Doris Zapata said this Monday, April 25, that it will not be until the beginning of June that the implementation of the Solidarity Employment Program begins, part of the Panama Solidarity Plan, created in the midst of the state of emergency announced by the Government due to the pandemic. by Covid-19.
Zapata said that they have already gone through the process of regulations and procedures with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and that they continue to work on revising the database with the beneficiaries of the Solidarity Employment program. He added that they have visited the unions of the private company and unions in order to establish the corresponding alliances so that they can jointly classify the listings.
The head of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development clarified that the database that is being taken into account is the one made up of those people who in the midst of the pandemic were vulnerable to job loss and who received the training required by the new law. of the Panama Solidario Plan and the companies must be Mipymes, which do not have the necessary funds to hire new personnel.
As part of the implementation of the Solidarity Employment Program, the Government will allocate some 27 million dollars to support micro, small and medium-sized companies in hiring people impacted by the lack of jobs in the midst of the pandemic.
