Representatives of the Hagamos and National Encounter parties and the Awakening political movement will sign the “National Encounter Alliance” this Tuesday, June 21 at 5:00 p.m., with the aim of drawing up a list of candidates for the Chamber of Senators.
The event will take place at the Gran Hotel del Paraguay (De la Residenta 1409 and Padre Juan Pucheu, Asunción). Soledad Núñez and Kattya González will participate in the signing. Also participating in the event will be Fernando Camacho, president of the National Encounter Party, Senator Patrick Kemper, president of the Hagamos Party, and Raúl Ayala, president of the Awakening movement.
The construction of said Alliance is the result of a broad dialogue between political referents of the third space, united around an ideology that condenses all the objectives outlined by the signatory movements and parties. The aforementioned political groupings thus seek to bring together more parties and movements.
“Soledad and I are moving forward in talks. We sealed an agreement for the Senate, we believe that we are going to strengthen ourselves and offer an alternative of different people who dispute a very important part of the agreement, which is the legislative power,” said deputy Kattya González.
The congresswoman affirmed that these agreements “speak of the capacity and strength of negotiation” that both candidates for the Presidency of the Republic have.
NO TO CONTINUISM
For his part, Núñez had already mentioned that we cannot continue voting for the “least worst”, and that they are analyzing different profiles of leaders, so that they are part of a list of candidates who are worthy of representing the country.
“We have been working for weeks to support a single list for the Senate, a strong one with the best men and women. We cannot continue voting for the unpresentable, the inoperative who only legislate for their particular sectors and interests,” said the former Senavitat minister and candidate for the presidency of the Republic.
