Representatives of the “National Meeting Alliance”, presented the request for its recognition before the Electoral Court on Monday morning, where the pre-candidates for President of the Republic Soledad Núñez (independent) and Kattya González (PEN) participated. Senator Patrick Kemper, in his capacity as president of the Hagamos Party, and Raúl Ayala of the Awakening movement were also present.
The candidate for president of Paraguay for the National Coalition, Soledad Núñez, told the media that in the coming weeks they will socialize the names of the people who will make up the list of candidates for the Senate for the aforementioned alliance, as well as the legislative agenda. “If we don’t have a solid legislative agenda that can be pushed forward in the next few years, it’s going to be very difficult to push through the changes,” she said.
He also mentioned that the good election is important not only of the Executive Branch but also of the representatives who go to Parliament.
“We all know the role that Congress plays in defining the future of the nation. Today here with Patrick, Kattya and Raúl we are making a list available to the public that will include the best men and women”. “And a legislative agenda that can carry out the main reforms that Paraguay needs to take advantage of all that potential that we have and be able to translate it into development. Nice surprises are coming for the Senate,” said the candidate.
Candidates for the capital and Central
Núñez announced that in the coming weeks they will also announce the support and adhesion of more figures and political movements to the alliance and that they will publish a list of candidates for the deputation for Asunción and the Central department. “I want to invite citizens to prepare, in April 2023 they will have an excellent option for the Senate, for the Chamber of Deputies of Asunción and Central, which will be the result of this alliance that we are presenting today,” he said.

For her part, the deputy of the National Encounter Party and candidate for president of the country, Kattya González, affirmed that the registration of the electoral alliance symbolizes the fulfilled dream of developing a better option for the country, but with a look beyond voting.
“We come with this team to consolidate a collective dream and project that goes beyond these presidential elections. This is not simply an electoral situation. What we really intend today is to constitute ourselves and build an alternative, for a Paraguay that needs commitment”, he said.
Likewise, he pointed out that, with this list of candidates, they intend to bring to Congress all those ideas that they have in common and that can contribute to a better Legislative Power, in the midst of a crisis of popular representation.
