Specialists from the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, verified the damage to a stone element of contemporary manufacture, which is part of the front wall of the building marked with the number 212-211 of the Carnes portal, of the Main Square of Cusco.
During verification, it was determined that the lithic piece presents a roughing of 6.5 centimeters in length, vertically, with a depth of two millimeters, caused with a grinder.
During the diligence, the representative of the business premises whose wall was affected was notified of the fact. She now she must make the corresponding discharge, although he announced that the affectation would have occurred during the earthquake drill on May 31, by a military officer.
In the face of such a version, the V Mountain Brigade of the Peruvian Army will also be notified, so that it can carry out the pertinent discharges, considering that the stone piece is part of the wall located in the Historic Center of Cusco, which is protected by the conservation regulations of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation.
