The Presidency’s Social Assistance Plan assisted hundreds of families that were affected by a tornado in several communities of The Vega.
The owner of the entity, Yadira Henriquezappeared together with the institution’s teams to assess the damage, according to a press release.
The information indicates that work began immediately with the lifting of roofs of several homes that were demolished by the atmospheric phenomenon.
More than 7,800 food rations have been distributed in the affected areas, in addition to delivering hundreds of mattresses, cabins, dining sets, refrigerators, oven stoves, washing machines, televisions, fans, dressers, among other items.
“We are here in this vegan province, fulfilling what is our responsibility and duty as a government, faithfully complying with the instructions of our president Luis Abinader Corona, to come and help the people affected by this phenomenon,” Henríquez said.
He assured that they will remain for as long as necessary in this province, to return to the residents of each affected area, the decent conditions so that they can return to their homes.
