Ramos Padilla, a personal friend of former President Raúl Alfonsín, was one of the first judges to investigate the final disposition of the disappeared in public cemeteries in the province of Buenos Aires.
The magistrate convened the act so that the Judiciary “becomes a justice service” and is not reduced to “protection of interests that are not those of Argentines.”

The deputy for the Front of All (FdT) Leandro Santoro affirmed that the Court “has to be accountable to society” and for this reason “it is legitimate for people to express themselves” in the mobilization that will take place this Tuesday at the Palace of Courts to demand reforms in the Judiciary.
“I am a national deputy, and that is why I have doubts about participating, but it seems legitimate to me that those who feel that there should be a replacement should speak out,” he told Radio Con Vos. He recalled that he was very critical “when two of the four members of the Supreme Court tried to enter by decree.”
