The Cuban Football Association (AFC) announced the holding of a quadrangular tournament where the B team, the sub-20 pre-selection and two teams from Havana will participate.
The event will take place on March 22, 24 and 26, coinciding with the break of the Opening Tournament of the 106 National League for the FIFA date corresponding to the period. The program provides for two daily games at nine in the morning and four in the afternoon.
They will serve as preparation for those under 20 years of age prior to the Concacaf Championship of the category that Honduras will host next June and will be a qualifier for the 2023 Indonesian U-20 Men’s World Cup.
On the other hand, it will be an appreciable opportunity to observe athletes who participate in the national championship and who will integrate the Cuban alternative team in order to assess the inclusion of some of them to the ranks of the absolute in future competitions, the closest being the League of Concacaf Nations 2022-2023.
Coaches with outstanding participation in the current domestic tournament will be invited to the modeling and will have the supervision of the head of selections Dariem Díaz.
