The Cuban Football Association (AFC) and the Qatar Football Association (QFA) established cooperation ties to strengthen their relations. The agreement was finalized during the visit of Oliet Rodríguez Méndez, president of the AFCto Doha, the capital of the Arab country, with the aim of participating in the 72nd FIFA Congress held there, in accordance with a note published by the specialized website Hit.
The agreed collaboration will address fields such as the exchange of experiences or the training of coaches and referees and ranges from sports science to sports medicine in relation to soccer. Rodríguez Méndez congratulated Qatar for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup and praised the excellent organization of the tournament, reports the media.
