The National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) reported that in January it hopes to introduce through the Legislative Branch the initiative that will replace the System Unit for the Career of Teachers (Usicamm). In a statement, the general secretary of the labor association, Alfonso Cepeda Salas, recalled that there is a joint work commission of the union with the Ministry of Public Education, in which they have held meetings in recent months to address the issue. In January we will be ready to introduce the initiative through the Chamber of Deputies or the Senate, since it is a fundamental issue
he stressed. During the meeting of the teaching unit of section 50 of the SNTE, Cepeda Salas spoke with delegation general secretaries, who emphasized that the end of the Usicamm is necessary due to the obstacles it represents.
