Given the smoke storm that covered the capital and its surroundings, a series of recommendations were issued to be taken into account.
Dr. Carlos Morínigo, a pulmonologist, said that in response to the storm of smoke and ashes that reached Asunción and the metropolitan area, “it is best to close doors and windows and stay inside the house.”
Morínigo stressed that this smoke storm has a high content of particles that can damage health.
He added that another recommendation is to turn on the fan, but not the air conditioning, since it puts in the smoke. “That makes a constant recirculation,” he explained.
He also mentioned that in case of an allergic condition, have Salbutamol on hand and go immediately to the Emergency Room.
He stressed that being inside the house it is not necessary to use masks, but if you are exposed to smoke.
