Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) will generate sales of between S/11,000 and S/13,000 million through the campaign Christmassaid the president of the Small Business Guild of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), Rodolfo Ojeda.

This amount, as explained, means a growth of between 8% and 10% when compared to the same period of the previous year. Likewise, he explained that consumption will be driven by the increase in purchasing power thanks to gratification, but also free access to Compensation for Time of Service (CTS).
Among the items with the greatest demand for gifts, he explained, are toys, clothing, footwear, gastronomy (panettone and chocolate), and technology, especially electronic accessories.
Likewise, the CCL representative pointed out that this campaign would generate around 50,000 new temporary jobs, that is, 15% more than what was registered in last year’s Christmas campaign.
“These jobs are usually seasonal, but many become permanent opportunities for outstanding workers,” he stated, noting that the positions with the greatest demand are those of salespeople and promoters, kitchen assistants, logistical transportation, among others.
On the other hand, he said that SMEs will opt for more digital advertising, mainly on networks such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. In that sense, he pointed out that these businesses allocate between 5% and 10% of their projected income on advertising strategies.
