A group of protesters from different social base organizations from La Oroya of the Junín Unitary Command for Struggle who arrived from Huancayo and merchants from the Túpac Amaru market closed km 01 of the La Oroya – Huancayo Central Highway for almost two hours.
At around 10:00 am, they took possession of the road, placing stones and even themselves lying on the track floor with posters expressing their requests and disagreements regarding the national situation.
An hour later, as indicated by Fernando Raymundo, general secretary of the Provincial SUTEP, he coordinated with the police to carry out a peaceful march heading to the whereabouts sector of Tarma where they will hold a rally without any confrontation with the police.
