The Emirates team captain covered the 215-kilometre mountainous stretch that linked the Italian towns of Apecchio and Carpegna in five hours, 28 minutes and 57 seconds.
Behind the winner they crossed the sentence line one minute and three seconds later, the Danish Jonas Vingegaard and the Spanish Mikel, second and third in that order.
Fourth place went to Australian Richie Porte, who was one minute and 34 seconds behind the winner, while fifth place went to host Damiano Caruso, 1:49 seconds behind Pogacar.
In the absence of only one date, Pogacar leads the general classification with a time of 23 hours, 45 minutes and 55 seconds, valid to lead Vigegaard by 1:52 minutes and Landa by 2:33, also here, his most bitter rivals.
Tomorrow the seventh date will be run, this one with a clearly flat profile at a distance of 159 kilometers with start and finish in the town of San Benedetto del Tronco.
