SKY projects more than 54 thousand passengers for this long weekend

With the end of October, a new long holiday is approaching that will allow many Peruvians to enjoy traveling. According to SKY Airline projections, more than 54 thousand passengers are expected to pack their suitcases to fly within or out of the country between Wednesday, October 30 and Sunday, November 3, considering the airline’s 11 national and 7 international routes.

The airline expects to transport more than 39 thousand passengers throughout Peru, 42% more than in the same period last year. During these days, SKY has more than 260 domestic flights scheduled, with special emphasis on routes such as Cusco, Arequipa and Juliaca, which will be the most requested destinations by travelers, concentrating more than 50% of domestic trips.

“We hope that they will be days of a lot of air movement, especially within Peru. According to our projections, 73% of travelers will stay in the country, while 27% will opt for international destinations. During these days, we hope to mobilize more than 54 thousand passengers, 35% more than in the same period of 2023. In response to this high demand, during these dates, we have decided to increase our flight offer by 34% compared to the year past to contribute so that more people can enjoy the beautiful landscapes that Peru offers, as well as attractive cities such as Santiago, Punta Cana, Miami, Sao Paulo and many more,” commented Franco Chaparro, SKY sales manager in Peru.

Internationally, the airline is preparing to transport more than 14,000 passengers to and from Peru, 19% more than in the same period in 2023, of which many will go to countries such as Chile, the Dominican Republic and the United States. through the more than 80 flights that the company will operate for those who wish to cross borders.

The route between Lima and Santiago will be the main interest of many travelers, bringing together more than 6 thousand passengers who will travel between both countries. Likewise, more than 1,700 people are expected to visit Punta Cana, while more than 1,600 will head to Miami.
