Skeletal remains found on a farm in David belong to Astry Tugrí, missing since October 2021

Through DNA tests, it was verified that the bone remains that were found in the community of San Carlos, Chiriquí belong to the minor Astry Tugrí, 17, who disappeared on October 11, 2021.

Related to this case, José Alberto Atencio, 48, is already under provisional arrest and charged with the charges of deprivation of liberty and aggravated robbery.

This same man was also charged with the same charges, related to the disappearance of Anabel Valdivia, 28 years old, registered in the province of Chiriquí on August 8, 2021, of Viviana Gallardo, 17 years old, reported by her relatives. as missing since November 9, 2021, in the district of David.

According to a witness, Astry Tugrí cried on the night of October 11, 2021, begging José Alberto Atencio, 48, who was her neighbor, for her freedom in the community of Guaca.

It was learned that the witness indicated that on October 11, in the afternoon, he spoke with José Alberto Atencio, to whom he asked who was the young woman with whom he arrived at his room and he replied that he was going to find him a job and that would be his wife.

He added that same night, after hearing the cries, some noises are heard and later everything was silent.
