A herd of bees attacked a sixty-year-old man, killing him and injuring two other people, according to police reports.
This event occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Parcelas del Socorro, Valencia (Carabobo), where the swarm of bees rioted in the patio of a house. And just at that moment, Rafael Enrique Delfino Landaeta (60), left the house to the patio where there is a bathroom. There the insects stuck their stingers into various parts of his body, causing the man to fall to the ground.
His daughter-in-law, Johana Escalona (36), heard Rafael’s laments and went to the patio to find out what was happening. Upon arrival, the bees also attacked the woman, which caught the attention of her neighbors, one of whom went into the patio and was also “stung” by the rain of bees.
Other family friends helped the wounded by taking them to the Enrique Tejera París Hospital City, where Rafael died a few minutes later. He worked as a refrigeration technician.
