A total of six people were arrested in the last few hours and five firearms were seized, among other war materials, according to reports.
These seizures were carried out in Carabobo and Monagas. Two of the procedures were carried out in the Carabobo municipality of Juan José Mora (Morón), one of them in the Palma Sola sector, where Miguel Giovanny Duque was arrested, from whom a 12-caliber shotgun and two cartridges of the same caliber were seized, according to a report from Detachment 412 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
And in El Dique, a sector of the aforementioned municipality, the military arrested Antonio Contreras Benavides who was in possession of a .38 revolver and 4 cartridges of the same caliber, material that was seized from him, says the report from D 412 of the GNB.
In the Monte Sinaí sector, Miranda municipality, Carabobo state, Axel José Jiménez Chirinos was captured, who was carrying a 16-caliber shotgun which was seized by members of the 41-1 Rural Command Detachment of the GNB.
Also in Carabobo, Rancho Chico neighborhood, Puerto Cabello municipality, military agents arrested Jorge David Jiménez Rodríguez and seized a .38 revolver from him.
In the state of Sucre, there was also a procedure with the seizure of a firearm. In this case, the operation took place in the Campearito sector, Ribero municipality (Cariaco) where two members of the criminal gang El Jake were arrested, identified as Yoel Sebastián González Barreto (Pao) and Hober Ovel Cuicas Araujo, dedicated to theft, extortion and kidnapping, according to a report from the Rural Command Detachment 53-1 of the GNB.
The subjects were traveling in a Daihatsu license plate AA650IR where they were carrying twelve 9 mm cartridges, a vest lining, 950 euros, 380 digital bolivars, 30 US dollars, one Trinidadian dollar, two telephone sets and a Venezuelan passport, according to a report from Detachment 514 of the GNB.
And finally, in the Virgen del Valle sector, Piar municipality (Aragua de Maturín), Monagas, military officials captured Wilfredo José Fuentes Jiménez from whom they seized a 12-gauge shotgun.
The six detainees were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office where they were charged with illegal possession of firearms, among other crimes.
