The national epidemiological report presented by the Ministry of Health and Sports contemplates six new cases of monkeypox in the country. All cases have been detected in Santa Cruzwhich is the department with the most reported infections, with 140. The 61 recovered patients remain, so 94 patients with monkeypox are treated.
Along with Santa Cruz, the departments that have reported cases of monkeypox are Cochabamba (7), La Paz (6), Chuquisaca (1), and Potosí (1). The Ministry of Health has ruled out 465 suspected cases after carrying out the respective tests.
From the Health Services of each department, active cases are monitored with the respective treatment and prescribed isolation. There is a constant control of the patients to know the evolution in each case.
Slight decrease in covid cases
In relation to the report of covid cases in the country, the official report counts 136 new cases this day. In the same report, it is stated 553 people recovered and no deaths.
By region, Santa Cruz records 43 new cases, followed by La Paz with 42. Cochabamba continues on the list, with 25; Chuquisaca, with 10; Tarija, with 6; Oruro, with 4; Potosi, with 4; and Beni, with 2. In Pando no new infections were registered.
The list of recovered patients by region is headed by La Paz with 277, followed by Tarija with 144. Santa Cruz continues with 68 recovered, Oruro with 23, Potosí with 17, Pando with 11, Cochabamba with 7, Beni with 5 and Chuquisaca with 1 .
In global figures, the country has recorded 1,107,456 confirmed positive cases, of which 1,046,968 have already recovered. The official statistics add 22,229 deaths due to the disease.
