Six-month Cetes offer the best returns to investors

Six-month Cetes offer the best returns to investors

The Bank of Mexico is expected to make an interest rate cut in August, although it is expected to be a split decision. Members of the Governing Board have pointed out, on the one hand, that the economic slowdown gives them room to maneuver to lower rates while other members have stressed that the rate cannot be lowered until general inflation does not show signs of disinflation.

What is the yield offered by Cetes?

The yield on 28-day Cetes is 10.89%, almost at the same level as last week.

For the three-month term, Cetes offer annual gains of 11.10% while for six months, the yields are 11.21%.

For the two-year term, Cetes give yields of 11.19%.
