It should be noted that these ministers are the ones who have been holding a meeting with President Pedro Castillo at the Government Palace, a few hours before the session begins in Parliament, scheduled for 3 in the afternoon.
The official letter does not detail, however, whether the head of state will attend the chamber to make his defense or whether he will send his lawyer to give his defenses.
After the defense of Castillo Terrones or his lawyer, the Plenary must put the motion to a vote. In this case, 2/3 of the legal number of members of Congress, that is, 87 votes, are needed to declare the head of state vacant.
