Six injured was the balance left by the explosion of a gas cylinder in an apartment of the Caturama Residence, located in the Ritec urbanization of the Santa Rosa parish in the Valencia municipality.
Officials from the Strategic Damage Assessment Region (Redan) Central, assured that the cause of the incident was a deflagration of liquefied gas.
The injured suffered burns in more than 80% of their body, for which they merited the emergency transfer to the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr Enrique Tejera in Valencia.
Among the injured is the 67-year-old owner of the apartment, who was identified as Yilda Soto.
Also, the explosion caused the collapse of the external and internal walls of the apartment.
The fire was extinguished by personnel from the Carabobo Fire Department and the Valencia municipality.
It is worth noting that the residence is supplied with domestic gas through a stationary tank, so it is not allowed to use LPG cylinders inside it.
Two injured in traffic accident
Two people were injured after a red Mazda vehicle overturned on the Central Regional Highway, specifically in the First Black Distributor of the Guacara municipality.
The incident occurred when the car left the road due to a mechanical problem.
The injured were identified as Lorenzo Barcia (son), 51 years old, and Lorenzo Barcia (father), 76 years old. Both presented generalized trauma and are confined in the central hospital of Valencia.
