The Colombian Migration Special Administrative Unit reported the non-admission of six foreign citizens at the José María Córdova International Airport, after international alert systems linked them to pedophilia, sexual abuse and tourism for the purposes of sexual exploitation.
Among those not admitted are five Americans, from Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and a Mexican who was traveling from Mexico City. According to the immigration authority, these cases are added to nine others registered in the last three days, and there are already close to 50 foreigners prevented from entering the country in 2025 for crimes related to child sexual exploitation.
Immigration controls, supported by the Angel Watch system and cooperation with international authorities, made it possible to identify antecedents and reports associated with criminal sexual behavior. In one of the cases, the traveler’s luggage contained elements that reinforced his relationship with sexual tourism activities, which led to his immediate return to his country of origin.

“The protection of children is not negotiable. Under the leadership of President Gustavo Petro, we act with all the firmness of the State to prevent those who seek to commit sexual crimes from entering the country,” said Gloria Esperanza Arriero, general director of Migration Colombia.
Migration Colombia announced that it will continue to strengthen entry filters and control actions at airports, ports and border crossings, with the support of international agencies and intelligence bodies, to guarantee that Colombia does not become a destination for the sexual exploitation of minors.
