The director of the National Planning Department (DNP), Alexandra Boteropresented a new management balance of the entity, in which he highlighted how the implementation of Sisbén IV is progressing.

According to the official, the coverage goal for the population living in poverty and extreme poverty has already been exceeded, since to date it was expected to reach 19.7 million and National Planning already registers a advance of 19.9 million Therefore, the initial objective has currently been exceeded.
“We are seeking to increase coverage to make the families and potential beneficiaries with the greatest need more visible. The goal is to achieve 98% coverage in families living in poverty and extreme poverty, and we are very close to achieving that coverage.Botero said.
According to the Sisbén IV figures presented by the entity, as of April 5, 2022, there were 9.29 million people in poverty within the base of the system, 10.6 million classified as poor, 7.5 million as vulnerable and 2.35 million who are characterized as neither poor nor vulnerable.
It is worth remembering that Sisbén IV is the targeting tool used by the entity to allocate aid with cash transfer and social aid programs. In fact, thanks to Sisbén IV, from July the aid from the Solidarity Income programdepending on the living conditions of the families and the number of members that the households have, and according to Botero, the Government does not rule out another extension of the program.
“It is under evaluation,” said the director of the DNP, adding: “If it is something we are looking at and it is something that I think we will soon have an important announcement.”
DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Another of the balances that the director of the entity delivered has to do with the fulfillment of the objectives of the National Development Plan, which is already in a 75% range.
“It is a very important advance, when I arrived at the entity in September 2021 we had a 62% progress in the National Development Plan, and we are already at 75%. We are working with all sectors on the 650 indicators that we have to achieve that compliance, 254 indicators have already been metBotero said.

The director of the DNP highlighted compliance with indicators such as agricultural exports, orange development areas and eradication of illicit crops, electric vehicles registered in the RUNT, and authorized cadastral managers.
The official also highlighted that, as of March 2022, eight sectors have already exceeded 85% progress, the most prominent being Intelligence (94.44%), Foreign Relations (90.85), Planning (90.6%) and Public Function (89.29%). The sectors with the greatest lag in meeting their goals are Inclusion (56.68%), Health (60.53%) and Environment (63.83%).
It should be remembered that the goal for this government is to reach a figure of 85% compliance.
