The Superintendency of Health and Occupational Risks (SISALRIL) was recognized in the 2024 National Award for Public Innovation, positioning itself as an innovative institution that presents creative initiatives that strengthen public services. The award was received by a SISALRIL commission, chaired by the superintendent Miguel Ceara Hattonduring a ceremony held in the Green Room of the National Palace.

The activity was headed by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, Andrés Bautista and the Vice Minister of Innovation, Transparency and Citizen Attention, Dilia Leticia Jorge Mera.
SISALRIL obtained the honorable mention in the award, by implementing the Health Technology Assessment process (EVTESA), a methodology with which the organization examines the benefits, costs and efficiency of a wide range of medicines, devices and clinical procedures to improve the health of citizens. At the event, the work carried out by the Superintendency of Health and Occupational Risks with the EVTESA project was highlighted, for placing the Dominican Republic at the forefront with the best international practices, guaranteeing quality of life for affiliated patients.
