Single party for municipal elections: the option that the FA is considering

The Broad Front (FA) is considering creating a single party for the municipal elections -which will be held in 2024- and to strengthen support for the Government. Of course, there is still no consensus among the coalition parties to promote the initiative.

According to Radio Bio Biorepresentatives of the FA discussed the idea in the coalition conclave, held on Sunday, September 25.

From Commons, the deputy Emilia Schneider He indicated that “it is a discussion that must be settled within the coalition, and the challenge of greater unity and strengthening of our project seems central to me. I think that for that it is optimal to go in that direction but there may be other answers”.

The secretary general of the Democratic Revolution (RD), Araceli Fariaspointed out that “we believe that this is a conversation that requires a calm and conscientious reflection, and at this moment our priorities are others”.

For her part, the deputy for Social Convergence (CS) Gael Yeomans He expressed that “it is valid that the parties “valid that the parties of the Broad Front have theses and positions. From Convergence we are in an internal election process, we are concerned about defining our next direction. We are committed to that process”.

“We have strengthened ourselves as a party with the incorporation of the Common Force and with it our political strength is also assumed in the challenge of continuing to strengthen,” added the CS legislator, the President’s party Gabriel Boric.
