As of this Monday, December 27, the number of interdepartmental and suburban bus frequencies will increase, according to the coordinator of the Metropolitan Area of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Joselo Hernández, informed the press.
Until March 6, 2022, there will be 1,633 daily departures from Montevideo to the entire metropolitan area and there will be no limited capacity, as was done in the summer of last year, when the pandemic was at its peak and restrictions were in place.
“The idea is to increase services as demand grows,” said the chief, and assured that the number of people who are using interdepartmental transport has increased at a good pace in recent months.
